Logo Contest!

Surfrider SMC needs a logo because we're jealous of the really cool one our neighbors to the north created. So we're calling on everyone with a bit of an artistic bent to help us by designing a great logo for the San Mateo County Chapter, something that captures the spirit of the area and the spirit of Surfrider. We'll use the logo on the website and promotional materials for the chapter, plus have it printed on t-shirts, hats and other gear.

Surfrider San Francisco's logo.

The contest runs until our General Meeting on December 11th, when we'll announce the winner. Please submit a .jpeg or similar picture file by email to involve08@surfridersmc.org, or snail-mail a hardcopy to PO Box 2006, El Granada, CA 94018-2006 (but drop us an email so we'll know you mailed it in). The winner will receive a t-shirt and other items branded with the new logo, and our many thanks!
Guidelines:
1. Logo must reflect both the setting of San Mateo coastline as well as a Surfrider theme. (Note: However, logo can not use the current Surfrider wave logo.)

2. Logo must be able to translate from large (8x10) to small (3x3) print sizes (i.e. may print visibly-well on both t-shirts as well as stickers, mugs, or reusable shopping bags.

3. Logo must be print-ready by using a one- to two-color format.

FAQ:
Can be Rick Griffin-style - or your own style.

Can incorporate portions of the Surfrider Foundation logo, but must be uniquely San Mateo Surfrider Chapter.
